Feed the Beast has pushed out two new beta packs. One called Unleashed and the other Unhinged. As I was working towards a Gregtech solution on my Ultimate world, I thought I would give Unhinged a try as GregT is shaping this particular pack to his tastes. I also plan on working on an Unleashed world as well so this blog will not just be about Unhinged.
My plan is to meter my time between the two mod packs and chart my progression. Ideally I would have identical worlds, but the world gen came out different when I was peaking around last night.
What do I expect with Unhinged? I expect that the game will progress much slower than Unleashed. GregT's solution to extending game play can be perceived as just making items harder to get by messing with recipes and to a degree that is true. I expect with this pack that there may be a few more "manual" solutions added and that the rewards of automation will feel more like rewards when you get there.
The seed I will be using for both worlds is Unhinged vs Unleashed.
